Academic use: Project Buddyy offers mentoring, guidance and reference material for learning. You stay responsible for following your institution's academic integrity rules and for understanding everything you submit.

Why does a Pune-based mentor help?

Pune has one of the densest clusters of engineering, polytechnic and architecture colleges in India, and most of them follow either the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) pattern or the MSBTE K-scheme. Both have their own rhythm of reviews, stage-wise submissions and external vivas. A mentor who works with students from these colleges every term knows what a stage I review panel expects, what an MSBTE external examiner checks in a capstone black book, and when the department deadlines tend to fall.

Being local also means you can sit with your mentor when something needs a whiteboard: a database design that keeps changing, a circuit that works on the breadboard but not on the PCB, or a thesis sheet layout that will not come together. Everything else happens over WhatsApp so you do not lose time travelling across the city.

How do SPPU final year projects run?

Under the SPPU 2019 pattern, B.E students complete the final year project in two parts: Project Stage I in semester VII (problem definition, literature survey, requirement analysis and design) and Project Stage II in semester VIII (implementation, testing, report and the final oral). Colleges moving to the 2024 NEP-aligned pattern keep the same staged approach. Each stage has internal reviews where the panel checks progress against the synopsis.

We plan your mentoring around those reviews: a synopsis and literature survey ready for the first review, a design document with diagrams for the second, a working build with test cases before the stage II mid-term, and a black book plus mock oral before the final submission.

SPPU stageWhat the panel looks forHow we help you prepare
Stage I, review 1Clear problem, scope and literature surveyTopic narrowing, survey structure, synopsis formatting
Stage I, review 2Requirements, architecture, UML or block diagramsDesign review, diagram checks, stage I report format
Stage II, mid-termWorking modules and partial testingCode or hardware reviews, module ownership per member
Stage II, finalComplete system, black book, oralBlack book format checks, PPT, mock oral

What about MSBTE diploma students in Pune?

Polytechnic students in Pune follow the MSBTE K-scheme. The fifth semester has the Seminar and Project Initiation course (315003) and the 12-week internship with its industrial training report (315004). The sixth semester has the Capstone Project (CPE, 316004) with a black book and an external viva. We mentor all three: choosing and planning the capstone topic in SPI, keeping the ITR daily diary and report in shape, and preparing the capstone black book and viva.

Which Pune colleges and courses do you work with?

Students come to us from SPPU-affiliated engineering colleges across Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad and the surrounding districts, from polytechnics under MSBTE, and from architecture colleges following Council of Architecture norms. We do not name colleges or claim partnerships: Project Buddyy is independent and not affiliated with any university or board. What matters is the format your department hands you, and we follow it.

How does it work, step by step?

  1. Message us on WhatsApp with your college, course, branch, topic and next review date.
  2. Book a free 10 to 15 minute scope call, or visit the University Road office by appointment.
  3. Agree a plan and pay 50% to start. The balance is due after you have seen the work reach the agreed stage.
  4. Work through modules with reviews every 2 to 3 days, in person or online.
  5. Get your synopsis, stage reports or black book checked against your college template.
  6. Rehearse your PPT and sit a mock viva before the real one.
  7. Use seven days of follow-up support after the final session.

What do Pune students get?

  • A plan mapped to your SPPU stage reviews or MSBTE semester calendar
  • Code, circuit or drawing reviews with explanations you can revise from
  • Formatting help for the synopsis, stage I and II reports, ITR or capstone black book
  • A presentation deck built from your own report
  • A mock oral or viva with feedback
  • In-person sessions by appointment at University Road, Pune

Where is the office?

Project Buddyy, Vijay Housing Society, 22, University Road, Premnagar, Ashok Nagar, Pune, Maharashtra 411016. Visits are by appointment, Monday to Saturday, 10:00 am to 8:00 pm IST. Message on WhatsApp first so a mentor is free when you arrive.

What does a mentoring week look like for a Pune student?

A typical week has two short touchpoints and one longer session. Early in the week you send what you built or drew since the last review: a commit link, photos of the circuit, a draft chapter or a sheet. Your mentor replies with comments the same or next working day. Midweek there is a 30 to 45 minute call, or a visit to the University Road office, to work through anything that needs discussion, such as a database redesign, a failing sensor or a stuck layout. At the end of the week you agree the next target, which is always tied to the date of your next internal review.

Students who keep this rhythm rarely face a last-week panic, because problems surface when they are still small. Students who disappear for three weeks and return two days before the review get honest advice on what to cut.

Which Pune-specific project ideas use local data?

  • PMPML bus arrival prediction using open GTFS feeds for a set of routes you ride
  • Air quality dashboards built on SAFAR or CPCB monitoring stations around the city
  • Ward-level complaint classification using publicly reported civic issues
  • Water level and rainfall alerts for low-lying areas along the Mula and Mutha rivers
  • Traffic counts at a college gate measured with a simple camera and object detection
  • Adaptive reuse proposals for old wadas in the city core, for architecture students

Local data makes a topic easier to defend: you can explain where it came from and why it matters to people you know.
